Mr. Sipki Phuntsok Tsering was born in Tibet in 1954. He went to Central Tibetan Schools in Shimla, Pachmari and Mussoorie. While at Pachmari, he took a 2 year vocational training in the fitting trade in addition to the school cirriculum and came top in the All India test held by the Government of India. He then entered the 7th State level Skill Competition in craftsmanship in which he distinguished himself. For these achievements, he was presented a silver medal and certificate of commendation by H.H. the Dalai lama.
In 1973 he passed his All India Higher secondary Examinations at the Central School for Tibetans, Mussoorie. In 1977 he completed his B.A. and then his M.A. studies at the Delhi University. Mr. Phuntsok Tsering then did an M. Phil. in Literature and convocation held on 24th March 1985, was admitted to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Delhi University.
Mr.Sonam Dorjee passed his Higher Secondary Examinations at CST, Mussoorie in 1972. He completed his B.Sc (Hons) and M.Sc (Hons) course at the Panjab University. Mr. Sonam Dorjee has now received an M.Phil in Physics from Punjab University and presented a thesis entitled: Compound Nucleus Fusion Cross Section for Heavy Ion Collisions.
Mr. Sonam Dorjee is currently doing research on the fundamental particles of matter and their interaction at very high energy using Bubble Chamber Techniques.
Mr. Dawa Ngodup Lhupchug was a student of the Central School for Tibetans in Darjeeling and completed his Higher Secondary Examinations from there in 1972. He obtained his B.A. degree from St. Joseph's College, North point, Darjeeling and Master's degree in Education from Jamai Millia, New Delhi. He completed his postgraduate diploma course in Guidance and Counseling from the National Council for Education Research and Training (N.C.E.R.T.). Mr. Dawa N. Lhupchug was closely associated with the activities of the Tibetan Youth Congress as President of RTYC Darjeeling, Bangalore and Delhi for a couple of years.
Mr. Dawa Lhupchug is currently working under the Council for Tibetan Education as Education Officer in the Bureau of H.H. the Dalai Lama in New Delhi.
Mr. Tenzin Phuntsok was born at Tsakor in Western Tibet in 1954. He attended CST, Dalhousie where he passed the Higher Secondary Examinations in 1973. He then entered the Government College for Men, Chandigarh for a B.A. Honours Course in Political Science and graduated in 1977. From the same university he completed an M.A. degree in Political Science in 1979. In 1982 Mr.Tenzin Phuntsok completed his M.Phil. presenting a thesis entitled : Sino Indian Interaction on Question of Tibet (1949-1962)
At present Mr. Tenzin Phuntsok is working in the Information Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dharamsala, as a Research Officer.
Dr. Passang Norbu was born on 14th May, 1952. He completed up to the fifth class in CST, Mussorie and then entered Stanes High School, Coonoor in 1966 where he took the seventh and eighth classes. He attended from the ninth to the eleventh classes at Bishop Cotton Boys High School, Bangalore and completed A.I.S.S.C. and I.S.C. with a first class in Maths and Science. In the last years of his schooling, he was senior prefect and the house captain and received a trophy as the best out-going boy in 1970.
From 1971 to 1976 he followed medical studies, taking the P.P.C. and M.B.B.S. courses in Government Medical College Bellary, Karnataka followed by one year of internship in 1977.
Since then he has been serving our community, working as Medical Officer in the Mcloed Ganj Clinic of the Tibetan Children's Village before being transferred to the Tibetan Hospital in Doeguliung Tibetan Settlement, Mundgod by the Council for Home Affairs of H. H. the Dalai Lama in 1978.
Since 1978 he has been working in the above hospital as Medical Officer cum-Executive Secretary. The hospital was registered as Doeguling Tibetan Resettlement Hospital, Mundgod,
1979.
Dr Tsering was born on March 13th, 1953, at Derge in the Kham province of Tibet. He had his initial education at the Central School for Tibetans in Bylakuppe and later studied in the St.Philomena's High School in Mysore. In 1980 he graduated from St. Joseph's College, Bangalore, and thereafter the S.S. Medical College, Rewa, Madya Pradesh from where he completed his M.B.B.S . Since 1980, he is working as a Medical Officer in the Tibetan Rabgyeling Settlement at Hunsur in Karnataka State.
Mr. Tsering Topgyal Tsamdha was born in Tsamdha on 1st July, 1956. He passed his All India Higher Secondary Examinations in First division from the CST Darjeeling. He then joined the government college in Chandigarh form where he completed his B.A. Honors in Geography and also did his M.A. in geography from the same university. Mr. Tsamdha later entered the School of Planning (CEPT) in Ahmedabad where he completed a postgraduate Diploma in Planning on Urban, Rural and Regional Planning. He also obtained a degree in Bachelor of Education and has distinguished himself with a record of first divisions throughout his school, college and postgraduate examinations.
Mr. Tsering Topgyal was a student of CST, Mussoorie. He also studied at Carman School, St. Joseph's Academy and Children's Academy in Dehradun and completed his schooling in 1976.
In 1980 he graduated form Panjab University, Chandigarh in Philosophy, Political Science and English.
Thereafter he entered the Himachal University in Shimla to take a law degree which he completed in 1983. He continued to work for an M.A. degree in Political Science , at the same university while also practicing law in Shimla.
